Hey there, people! It's me, Reynolds! You may have recently read that we moved!

For some reason, Mom didn't think the one-room apartment we have been in for the last month was good enough. I mean, it was snug and had a weird name, the Navy Lodge, but they had tons of stray cats that I really loved chasing every time we went out to potty! So instead, she found another place for us to live, and it's big. We have TWO flights of stairs in our new house- one set leads up to the bedrooms, and the other flight of stairs leads up to the roof!

I didn't know you could get up on roofs, but our favorite way to start the day is sitting up there, mom drinking her coffee, and me barking at all the birds flying by. Oh, and Hugo just stands there, panting. He just wants to go inside, but he doesn't want to leave Mom's side. Suck up.

We have also gotten in the routine of sitting in our YARD every evening. Yep, you read that right, our amazing Mom got us a REAL GRASS YARD. Hugo's favorite part of the yard is that he doesn't have to be on a leash to go potty and Mom's favorite part is that she doesn't have to put a bra on at night to take us out to potty.

But my favorite part? I don't know, that's a tough question! Rolling in the grass (especially after a fresh bath) was pretty great; chasing flies, bees, and shadows has been awesome; but the best part may just be that I get to be outside and run as much as I want in the sunshine! I'm living my best life, y'all!

Ok, but as soon as Hugo and I enjoy our running in the yard, we "crash and burn," as Mom likes to call it, on the cold marble floors inside:

Don't believe how great it is? Check out this video:

Yeah, the new vacuum is evil and I must protect Hugo from it. Mom didn't find this as funny since she was trying to clean up all the dog hair!

Monday, June 26: New Spanish Vet Visit!

Another great part of our new house is that it's a 15-minute walk from our new vet! Mom took us to Clinica Veterinaria Laguna del Moral, where we had a fun afternoon meeting lots of new people. While waiting in the lobby, I made friends with an American Girl Dog, or at least that's what Mom called it.

Then we got to meet Dr. Cristina!!! She wasn't as cool as Mrs. Shannon, but boy was she pretty awesome! During our visit, she talked a lot with Mom about Hugo's liver problems and she assured Mom that they could continue his treatment here! She also got down on the floor with Hugo and me and fed us a ton of treats, trimmed our nails (Hugo hated that part), and then she listened to our hearts.

Before leaving, she gave us each a shot. THAT wasn't much fun, but from what Dr. Cristina was telling Mom, the shot is to prevent a pretty nasty parasite that is only found in southern Europe called Leishmaniasis. This nasty parasite has no cure yet, so if we were to get it, we would have to be on heavy medication for the rest of our lives, and until recently, we wouldn't be allowed to return to the USA... Long story short, I could feel Mom's anxiety climbing with this chat.

Lucky for us, Mom made sure to bring us to see Dr. Cristina early and we each received the Leishmaniasis shot. Since this shot is only 70% effective, we also had to get a gross-smelling medicine down our backs. But hey, whatever it takes to keep us healthy and safe!

Rumor has it we get to see Dr. Cristina every Monday for Hugo to get his liver shot! Dr. Crristina even told Mom to bring me along so I can say hi!! How cool is that?! (Ok, Hugo may argue the weekly shots aren't fun, but I'm looking forward to another bag of treats during our visit!)

Well, I think I've written enough for today! Now we will continue to look out for Dad's arrival! How much longer until he gets here?!

Wags & Kisses,

--Reynolds
